Bang Sare (or Bang Saray) is an under-the-radar destination in Chon Buri Province that has preserved its original charm as a fishing village. While neighboring towns are becoming increasingly modern, the authentic Thai lifestyle can still be found here. Bang Saray Beach is spacious and lined with pine trees, making it a handy spot for picnics and long walks. Sai Kaew Beach, also known as Military Beach, has crystal-clear water and white sand, while Sunset Beach is the excellent place to end the day. The village's architecture mixes old wooden houses with new, stylish boutique hotels. A highlight is the weekly night market, where local handicrafts and street food are offered. Gastronomy is famous for freshly caught fish, served in restaurants on stilts over the sea. In the surrounding area, there are numerous attractions such as Nong Nooch Tropical Garden or large water parks. Bang Sare is easily accessible from Bangkok or Pattaya and provides a welcome escape from the bustle of the big city. It is a place where time seems to run a little slower.
