Palace of Nations
The Palace of Nations, also known as Kohi Millat, is the official residence of the President of Tajikistan located in the capital city, Dushanbe. Completed in 2008, the building is characterized by its neoclassical architecture featuring golden domes and high columns. The palace covers an area of approximately 9,000 square meters and is surrounded by extensive gardens and fountains that form a representative architectural ensemble. The central dome has a diameter of 18 meters and is decorated with gold leaf, giving the structure a brilliance visible from afar. This venue hosts official state receptions, diplomatic meetings, and solemn ceremonies, making it the political heart of the country. The palace is depicted on the reverse of the 500 somoni banknote and symbolizes modern statehood and the national identity of the Tajik republic.
