The town is internationally famous for hosting PortAventura World, one of Europe's largest theme parks. Its coastal area, La Pineda Platja, attracts visitors with its fine sandy beach, clear waters, and a lively promenade lined with numerous bars and restaurants. Besides modern attractions, Vila-seca also has an appealing historic center with landmarks like the neo-Gothic church of Sant Esteve and the Castle of Vila-seca, an impressive 12th-century structure. Getting there is easy via the nearby Reus Airport, the Camp de Tarragona train station (high-speed AVE), or the AP-7 motorway.
