Kent Ridge Park (Singapore)

Weather…

Kent Ridge Park is a 47-hectare public park in western Singapore, recognized for its historical significance and rich biodiversity. Situated on a ridge, the park was the site of the Battle of Pasir Panjang in February 1942, one of the last fierce battles fought before the British surrender in World War II. Today, the 'Reflections at Bukit Chandu' museum at the park's edge commemorates the brave resistance of the soldiers. Geographically, the park is characterized by its uneven terrain and dense secondary forests, which provide a habitat for numerous bird species and dragonflies. A standout feature is the Canopy Walk, a 280-meter long elevated boardwalk that connects the treetops, offering visitors a unique perspective on the local flora. The park is part of the Southern Ridges, a nine-kilometer chain of green spaces linked together. From its vantage points, visitors can enjoy expansive views of the offshore islands and the busy Pasir Panjang industrial port.
