Malam Jabba
Malam Jabba is Pakistan's premier ski resort, picturesquely situated in the Karakoram range. At an altitude of about 2,800 meters, it gives top-notch conditions for skiers and snowboarders in winter, featuring chairlifts and ski schools. However, Malam Jabba is also a popular summer destination when cool temperatures and green landscapes attract hikers and families. The main attraction is the modern chairlift, which provides a spectacular panoramic view over the Swat Valley. Nature is characterized by dense coniferous forests and snow-capped peaks. Besides winter sports, there are attractions like ziplines and trekking trails leading to nearby Buddhist stupas. Gastronomically, you can enjoy the region's typical cuisine, with Chapli Kebab being a local specialty. Access is via Mingora in the Swat Valley, following a well-maintained but winding mountain road. The best time for winter sports is from January to March, while July to September is convenient for summer activities.
