Nevlunghavn is an idyllic coastal village at the tip of the Brunlanes peninsula near Larvik. Known for its well-preserved white-painted wooden houses dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries, it is listed by UNESCO as one of Europe's most significant preserved villages. Once a vital outpost for maritime pilots and fishermen, it has retained its authentic atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy fresh seafood purchased directly from the boats in the harbor or visit the local bakeries. Just outside the village lies Mølen, a massive terminal moraine field from the last ice age, featuring giant boulders and a unique geological landscape. Nevlunghavn provides a peaceful escape with narrow streets and soft maritime light that has long attracted artists. The surrounding area provides excellent hiking trails and sandy beaches, making it a lesser-known spot of the southern coast.
