Visiting
The fascinating rock paintings can mostly be visited in their natural location in the wild mountainous landscape without any formal access controls. The visit requires a certain sense of adventure, as the artworks are situated in protected rocky overhangs.
Typical hours
Since this is a natural site, it is theoretically accessible at all times, but for safety reasons it should strictly only be visited during sufficient daylight. The early morning hours also frequently offer the most pleasant temperatures for such hikes.
Photography
Photographing the historical motifs is allowed, but to properly protect the sensitive pigments, the use of a direct flash must be strictly avoided. A high-quality lens helps to capture the often faded details even without relying on artificial lighting.
Time needed
Merely viewing the visible drawings often only takes about thirty minutes, but the entire excursion typically takes considerably longer. Plan for at least two to three hours so that you can also fully enjoy the scenic approach hike through beautiful nature.
