SOMACA (Société Marocaine de Constructions Automobiles) in Casablanca is the cradle of the Moroccan automotive industry. Founded in 1959, it was the most important player in the country's motorization for decades and laid the foundation for Morocco's current industrial success. Today, SOMACA is majority-owned by the Renault Group and specializes in the production of Dacia models such as the Logan and Sandero. Despite its long history, the factory is state-of-the-art and has been continuously modernized to meet international quality standards. Located in the heart of Casablanca's industrial district, the plant benefits from excellent logistical connections to the port of the economic metropolis.
