Weather…

Dhadimagi Kilhi is the second largest freshwater lake in the Maldives, located in the north of Fuvahmulah Island. It is part of a protected nature park that plays a crucial role in the local ecosystem. The lake spans an area of approximately 0.02 square kilometers and is surrounded by extensive wetlands that serve as a sanctuary for rare bird species. Particularly noteworthy is the presence of the Common Moorhen (Gallerinula chloropus), locally called 'Kambili' in the Maldives, which has one of its few breeding grounds here. The vegetation around the lake includes rare ferns and aquatic plants that are otherwise hard to find in the saline environment of the Maldives. Dhadimagi Kilhi was officially designated as protected in 2012 to prevent habitat destruction from human activities. For visitors, the lake has a serene environment for birdwatching and walks along established nature trails.
