💡 Tips
- Mosquitoes are prevalent in the Po Delta area, especially at dusk. Bring strong, reliable insect repellent.
- Rent a bicycle to fully explore the scenic paths winding through the pine forests and along the local lagoons.
- The main beaches are wide. If you want more space, walk towards the free beach areas at the northern or southern edges.
- Parking near the beaches in summer is mostly paid (blue lines). Look for day-pass meters to save money if staying all day.
🍽 Food
Fresh clams from the delta; best enjoyed with spaghetti at beachfront seafood restaurants.
A classic, rich seafood risotto; a staple dish found in almost any traditional local trattoria.
A slightly bitter, famous local chicory; look for it grilled or mixed into risotto during cooler months.
🛍 Shopping · 🧘 Quiet spots
Unique local honey made by bees foraging in the salt marshes; available at local farm stalls.
Takes place on summer mornings; first-rate for finding fresh produce, beachwear, and local snacks.

Located within the natural setting of the Po Delta National Park, Rosolina is renowned for its long, fine sandy coastline. The shallow waters make it a highly favored destination for families. Visitors can choose from numerous free beach areas, including Spiaggia libera 1, 7, 9, 13, 16, and 22, which offer plenty of space for relaxation. The southern section is home to the unique Marina di Caleri and Spiaggia di Porto Caleri. This area features exceptional flora and fauna, partly due to the adjacent Porto Caleri Coastal Botanical Garden. The Zona 7 Spiaggia Galeri also provides a peaceful alternative for nature lovers avoiding the central crowds. Dense pine forests stretch along the coastline, offering natural shade during hot summer days. The town features a network of cycling paths, making it easy to explore the surrounding lagoons, forests, and beaches on two wheels.
