Baghdad Tower (Iraq)

Weather…

Baghdad Tower, originally opened as Saddam Tower in 1994, is a telecommunications facility located in the Al-Mansour district of western Baghdad. The reinforced concrete structure rises to a height of 205 meters, making it one of the tallest buildings in Iraq. During its early years, the tower featured a revolving restaurant situated 110 meters above the ground, completing a full rotation every hour. The building sustained structural damage during the conflicts of 1991 and 2003, but it was subsequently repaired to restore the local communications network. Following the 2003 events, the structure was renamed Baghdad Tower. Although a partial renovation project worth approximately 2 million dollars was completed in 2010, the observation deck remained closed to the public for an extended period due to security reasons.
