Weather…

Lehde is a unique village in the Spreewald, often referred to as the 'Venice of Brandenburg.' Here, the numerous 'Fließe' (waterways) serve as streets; mail, waste collection, and suppliers use traditional punts for transportation. The entire village is a protected monument and, with its historic log houses, features a journey back in time to the 19th century. is the Lehde Open-Air Museum, where visitors can experience the way of life of the Spreewald people and the Sorbian/Wendish minority firsthand. A punt trip from Lübbenau to Lehde is one of the classic experiences of the region. In the cozy inns directly on the water, the world-famous Spreewald gherkins are served in all variations, along with fish dishes such as pike-perch. The surroundings can also be excellently explored by paddleboat or on the 'Gherkin Cycle Path.' Access is usually via Lübbenau, which is well connected to the railway network from Berlin and Cottbus.
