Viktoriapark in Berlin's Kreuzberg district is a green oasis of historical significance and features the highest natural elevation in inner Berlin. The heart of the park is the 66-meter-high Kreuzberg hill, atop which stands the National Monument for the Liberation Wars, designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. A striking feature of the park is the artificial waterfall, modeled after the Watzmann massif, which plunges down over rocky terrain. The park was laid out in the late 19th century and named after the Prussian Crown Princess Victoria. In addition to the extensive lawns, there is a small vineyard here where the grapes for the famous 'Kreuz-Neroberger' wine are grown. From the top of the monument, visitors have a spectacular view over the Berlin city center to the TV Tower. The park is a popular meeting point for residents and visitors alike, offering relaxation and a connection to Prussian history.
