Bad Waldsee is located in the heart of Upper Swabia, located in the rolling hills between the Danube and Lake Constance. The town is uniquely situated between two lakes, the Stadtsee and the Schlosssee, which gives its historic center a distinct atmosphere. As a certified moor mud spa and Kneipp resort, it has a long-standing reputation for wellness and medical tourism. The old town is characterized by magnificent Baroque architecture, medieval half-timbered houses, and the 15th-century town hall. Economically, Bad Waldsee is a global hub for the leisure vehicle industry, serving as the headquarters for the Hymer Group. The Erwin Hymer Museum is a significant cultural draw, documenting the history of mobile travel. The town also maintains deep roots in Swabian-Alemannic Carnival traditions, which are celebrated with great fervor and elaborate costumes every winter.
