Sanneh-Mentering Holy Site

Sanneh-Mentering is a significant holy site located on the coastline of Brufut, about 20 kilometers south of Banjul. It consists of a forested area situated on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, regarded as a major burial ground and spiritual center for the Mandinka people. According to local lore, it is the final resting place of a holy man named Sanneh, and the site is used for prayers, offerings, and traditional rituals.
