Gourdon is a dramatic medieval stronghold, officially ranked among 'The Most Beautiful Villages of France'. Perched atop a sheer 760-meter cliff, it overlooks the verdant Loup Valley. From the main square, Place Victoria (named after the British Queen who visited in 1891), visitors enjoy a 50-mile panoramic view of the French Riviera, from Nice to the Esterel mountains.
