Theix-Noyalo is a recently established commune in the Morbihan department of Brittany, born from the merger of two historic villages in 2016. Situated at the eastern gateway to the Gulf of Morbihan, it occupies a landscape where land and sea blur into a complex network of salt marshes and tidal inlets. Noyalo, the smaller part of the union, is deeply tied to the sea, with a tradition of oyster farming that continues to this day. Theix serves as the main urban center, featuring a blend of modern commercial areas and historical sites like the Manor of Plessis-Josso, a beautifully preserved feudal residence. The area is a haven for biodiversity, particularly in its marshlands, which serve as vital habitats for diverse bird species. Its proximity to the historic city of Vannes makes it a popular residential area, offering a high quality of life with extensive green spaces and coastal paths. The community is animated, hosting numerous cultural events that showcase Brittany's unique language, music, and culinary traditions, including its famous cider and seafood.
