Legoland Billund
Legoland Billund opened its doors on June 7, 1968, as the first of its kind, situated directly next to the original Lego factory in the heart of the Jutland peninsula. The park spans approximately 14 hectares and features nine distinct themed areas, offering more than 50 rides and interactive attractions for visitors of all ages. At the center of the resort lies Miniland, a sprawling exhibition where world-famous landmarks and landscapes are meticulously recreated at a 1:20 scale using over 20 million Lego bricks. Since its inception, the park has welcomed over 50 million guests, with current annual attendance figures reaching roughly 1.6 million people. The entire complex incorporates more than 60 million individual pieces, showcasing the enduring global appeal of the building blocks invented by the Christiansen family. As a major cultural and economic landmark, it highlights Danish design principles and the importance of Billund as a global hub for family-oriented tourism.
