Odzala-Kokoua National Park is one of Africa's oldest and most extraordinary national parks, situated deep within the Congo Basin. Accessing Odzala requires planning, usually involving a charter flight from Brazzaville to the park's airstrip, followed by a transfer to one of the eco-lodges. The dry seasons, from June to September and December to February, are the optimal times to visit, providing better trekking conditions and clearer wildlife sightings around the bais. It is a challenging but immensely rewarding destination.
