Parque Panaca

Parque Panaca, officially known as the Parque Nacional de la Cultura Agropecuaria, is located in the municipality of Quimbaya, Quindío department, and was opened on July 31, 1999. It holds the distinction of being the world's first agricultural theme park, established to bridge the gap between urban dwellers and rural life by highlighting the importance of farming. Spanning approximately 47 hectares, the park is home to over 4,500 animals across ten specialized stations, including sectors dedicated to livestock, horticulture, and poultry. Situated in the heart of Colombia's Coffee Triangle, Panaca provides interactive experiences where visitors can participate in farm activities, feed animals, and learn about traditional agricultural techniques. The park's guiding philosophy, 'Without fields, there is no city,' emphasizes sustainability and the preservation of rural cultural heritage.
