El Serrat is the highest village in the parish of Ordino, located at the head of the Valira del Nord valley in northern Andorra. Situated at an altitude of approximately 1,540 meters, it gives a spectacular high-alpine landscape and serves as the gateway to the Ordino Arcalís ski resort. Historically, El Serrat was an isolated pastoral settlement that gained importance due to its strategic position on mountain passes leading to France. The village's architecture is characterized by sturdy stone buildings designed to withstand harsh winter conditions. Today, the village is a popular destination for mountain sports enthusiasts who visit the nearby Tristaina Lakes in summer or enjoy the snow-sure slopes in winter.
