💡 Tips

  • Visit the sandbar during low tide to see the full extent of the white coastline.
  • Bring plenty of water and sun protection, as there is absolutely no natural shade on the sandbar.
  • Arrange your private boat trip in advance, as there are no scheduled ferry services to this remote island.
  • Respect the pristine environment and take all your trash back to the mainland with you.
  • Wear UV-protective clothing, as the reflection from the bright white sand intensifies the sun.

Sebaring Sandbar

Walk to the far end of the sandbar to enjoy the silence and vastness away from the boat docking spots.

Sebaring is located on the remote Bugsuk Island in southern Palawan and is a destination for true explorers. The highlight is Punta Sebaring Beach, which features one of the most extensive white sandbars in the country, where crystal-clear waters remain shallow for kilometers. The area is virtually untouched by mass tourism, guaranteeing peace and a private atmosphere. In addition to Punta Sebaring, Gabung Beach and the Queen Helen Sandbar offer spectacular photo opportunities and pristine nature. Getting there requires planning, usually via boat from Balabac or Buliluyan. There is very little commercial infrastructure on-site, which accounts for its rustic charm. Visitors should bring their own supplies, although local fishermen often provide fresh seafood. The flora is characterized by coconut palms and mangroves, while the surrounding sea hides rich coral reefs for snorkelers. It is the great place to disconnect and enjoy the raw beauty of the Sulu Sea.
