Pagsanjan Falls (Philippines)

Weather…

Pagsanjan Falls, officially known as Cavinti Falls, is one of the most famous waterfalls in the Philippines. Located in the province of Laguna, the falls are a major tourist attraction. The journey to the falls is an adventure in itself, involving a scenic upstream river trip on a dugout canoe, known locally as 'shooting the rapids.' Skilled boatmen navigate the canoe against the current, through a lush gorge carved by the Bumbungan River, surrounded by steep cliffs and dense vegetation. The main falls are a powerful cascade dropping about 120 meters. Visitors can ride a bamboo raft that takes them directly under and behind the curtain of falling water into a small cave, known as Devil's Cave. While the official name is Cavinti Falls, as it is geographically located in Cavinti, the more popular name Pagsanjan persists due to the tour originating from the neighboring town.
