Loma del Pan (Panama)

Weather…

Loma del Pan is a mountain peak in Panama's Darién province, within the Darién National Park, one of the wildest and least explored regions on Earth. The name, which means 'Bread Hill', likely refers to the shape of the mountain. The area is covered by dense, impenetrable tropical rainforest, which hosts extraordinary biodiversity. This region is part of the infamous Darién Gap, a natural barrier between North and South America. Accessing Loma del Pan is extremely difficult, with no roads or established trails. The area is home to the Emberá and Wounaan indigenous peoples, who have lived in harmony with the forest for millennia. The mountain and its surroundings are attractive to biologists and adventurers alike as one of the last untouched corners of the planet.
