Coronado
Coronado was Panama's first real resort community and has evolved into a lively hub for both expats and locals. The region features a blend of modern luxury and relaxed beach living, located just a short drive from Panama City. Visitors come here to play golf, surf, or simply enjoy the sun on the expansive shores. The beaches of Coronado are unique due to the mixture of volcanic black and shimmering white sand. This visual specialty makes the coastline one of the most photographed places in the region. The surrounding area also features top-tier golf courses and equestrian centers, providing plenty of variety for active travelers. In terms of gastronomy, Coronado gives everything from traditional Panamanian seafood to high-end international cuisine. Getting there is very easy via the Pan-American Highway, making it a first-rate destination for weekend trips. The best time to visit is during the dry season from December to April, when the weather is good for water sports and sunbathing.
