Access is generally by off-road vehicle driving through the rugged, metal-rich red dirt landscapes of the southern province from nearby urban centers.
Best season
The dry season, running from May to October, is the safest time to visit, as the dirt roads can become highly unpredictable and muddy during heavy rains.
