Dawei

Dawei, historically known as Tavoy, is the capital of the Tanintharyi Region in southern Myanmar, situated on the banks of the Dawei River near the Andaman Sea. For centuries, the city served as a vital link between the Burmese kingdoms and the Siamese empire, leading to a long history of alternating rule and cultural exchange.
