Shuaiba Industrial Area (Kuwait)

Weather…

The Shuaiba Industrial Area, located about 50 kilometers south of Kuwait City, is the heart of the country's heavy industry. Established in 1964, it covers an area of approximately 21 square kilometers, divided into east and west sectors. The area hosts the primary oil refineries of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) as well as major petrochemical complexes. A decisive factor in the site's success is the Shuaiba Port, one of the largest industrial ports in the Middle East, which enables the global export of oil and chemical products. In addition to the energy and petrochemical sectors, the area is home to gas processing plants and construction material manufacturing facilities. The infrastructure includes its own power plants and desalination units to ensure the self-sufficiency of industrial processes. Shuaiba plays a fundamental role in Kuwait's economic growth and serves as an engine for technological innovation in the industrial sector.
