Cala Sisine
Cala Sisine is a spectacular gem located in the Gulf of Orosei on the eastern coast of Sardinia. Flanked by imposing, 500-meter-high cliffs covered in ancient carob and holm oak trees, the beach feels like a secluded natural amphitheater. The dramatic landscape is the result of a dried-up riverbed that carved its way through the Supramonte mountains, ending right at the edge of the sea.
The waters here are exceptionally clear, boasting a stunning palette of deep turquoise and azure blue. Unlike the fine sand of other famous beaches, Cala Sisine features bright white, smooth pebbles mixed with coarse coral sand, which beautifully contrasts with the vibrant colors of the Mediterranean. It's a paradise for nature lovers and snorkelers who want to explore the rich marine life near the rocky edges.
Reaching this beach is an adventure in itself, whether you arrive by sea or by hiking down the rugged gorge. Its isolated position preserves a wild, unspoiled atmosphere, making it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the Baunei coastline.
