Getting there
The park is very conveniently accessed by public buses running from Central or the Aberdeen district. The bus stops are generally located just a short walking distance from the main entrances.
Best season
The autumn and winter months, generally from October to March, offer the absolute most pleasant weather. During this time, the oppressive humidity is lower, making hiking much more comfortable.
Terrain & paths
The terrain mostly includes well-paved family walks, shaded woodland paths, and some stepped routes. The scenic walking trails completely around the reservoirs are mostly flat and well-maintained.
What to bring
Comfortable running shoes or light hiking shoes are absolutely sufficient for the paved paths. However, bringing plenty of water and highly effective mosquito repellent is always recommended.
Parking
There is generally no direct parking available at the park entrances for private vehicles. Due to the excellent connectivity, utilizing local public transportation is highly recommended.
Safety
Visitors may occasionally encounter wild boars or macaques that natively live in the park. It is crucial to maintain distance and strictly avoid feeding these wild animals under any circumstances.
Time needed
A highly relaxing walk through the park and around the reservoirs typically takes two to three hours. Many families also genuinely enjoy spending much longer, leisurely afternoons here.
