Port of Petit-Goâve (Haiti)

Weather…

Petit-Goâve is one of Haiti's oldest settlements and a historically vital port on the Gulf of Gonâve. Once a global leader in coffee exports during the 18th and 19th centuries, it remains a proud center of agricultural tradition. Today, its economy is supported by a robust coastal trade (cabotage), artisanal fishing, and regional farming. The port facilitates the shipment of highland coffee and tropical fruits to the capital's markets. Known for the 'Moulin à Café' emblem, Petit-Goâve has successfully rebuilt its commercial infrastructure after the 2010 earthquake. Strategically located on the Route Nationale 2, it serves as an essential transit and supply hub for the Ouest and Sud-Est Departments, bridging the gap between the capital and the deeper south.
