Vari is a pleasant and welcoming coastal village located on the southeastern side of Syros island in the Cyclades. Known for its traditional character and scenic agricultural surroundings, it is one of the oldest farming settlements on the island. Today, it beautifully combines its rural heritage with excellent seaside amenities, making it a favorite destination for both locals and international visitors. The village's relaxed pace of life, pretty whitewashed houses, and surrounding reed beds create a quintessential Greek island atmosphere. The main attraction of the village is Vari Beach, a highly organized and enclosed sandy bay. Because it is sheltered from the strong summer winds, its shallow and calm waters are exceptionally safe and good for families with young children. Nearby is Αχλάδι (Achladi) Beach, another easy on the eye and peaceful cove featuring clear waters and a traditional fishing harbor feel. Both beaches offer excellent opportunities for swimming, relaxing on sunbeds, and enjoying the serene coastal environment.
