Beethoven House Bonn (Germany)

Weather…

The Beethoven House in Bonn is the birthplace of the world-famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven and is today one of the most visited musician museums in the world. Beethoven was born in this Baroque timber-framed house at Bonngasse 20 in December 1770 and spent his early years here. The building was saved from demolition in 1889 by the Beethoven House Association and converted into a memorial site. The collection now comprises over 1,000 exhibits, including original manuscripts, letters, instruments, and the composer's famous ear trumpets. Particularly valuable is Beethoven's last fortepiano by Conrad Graf. The house provides an authentic impression of 18th-century living conditions and blends its historic fabric with modern research through the adjacent Beethoven Archive and a digital concert hall.
