Getting there
Reaching Lake Mandjé typically involves navigating the broader Ogooué River system by small motorized boat or traditional pirogue. Overland access is extremely limited due to the dense surrounding tropical rainforest environment.
Best season
The long dry season, roughly spanning from June to September, is widely considered the safest and most comfortable time to navigate. Water levels are lower, making the unique shoreline flora and fauna slightly easier to spot.
