Sahl Hasheesh
Sahl Hasheesh is an exclusive resort town located just 18 kilometers south of Hurghada. Tourists flock to this destination for its tranquil, luxurious environment and its 12-kilometer-long stretch of fine sandy beach. The Red Sea here provides excellent conditions for swimming and snorkeling, with animated coral reefs that enchant lovers of the underwater world. The most unique attraction is the Sunken City, an artificially created underwater ruin that has divers and snorkelers a truly unique experience. In the center of the resort lies the elegant Piazza, featuring beautiful fountains and traditional arabesque architecture. Along the sweeping beachfront promenade, excellent restaurants serve up fresh seafood alongside the finest traditional Egyptian cuisine. The resort is easily accessible from Hurghada International Airport, taking less than half an hour by taxi or transfer. To explore the extensive promenade, renting bicycles or electric golf carts is highly recommended. The most handy time to visit is during the spring and autumn months, when the weather is pleasantly warm without the intense heat of summer.
