Water temperature…
Studenci is located in the Dalmatian hinterland (Zagora) within the Lovreć municipality, on a karst plateau surrounded by mountains. The name of the village is derived from the word for 'cold springs,' referring to the water riches in this otherwise dry karst area. The village has preserved its original character with old stone houses and a traditional way of life. The area is famous for its healthy climate and the production of high-quality honey, meat, and wine. During the summer months, traditional festivals take place here where local songs (Ganga) and dances are performed, offering a deep insight into Dalmatian folklore. Studenci is a well-suited place for hikers and nature lovers seeking the silence of Zagora. Although located inland, the coastal towns of Makarska and Omiš, as well as the Biokovo Nature Park, are reachable by car in about 30-40 minutes. The road leads through impressive canyons and over mountain passes. A visit to Studenci provides the opportunity to get to know the 'other' Dalmatia away from the tourist crowds, where hospitality is still highly valued.
