- Summer evenings here are cooler than on the coast, so pack a light jacket for late strolls.
- Mobile reception can be spotty in the deep canyon areas, so download offline maps before exploring.

Nova Sela is a tranquil village located in the Omiš hinterland, perched on the heights above the right bank of the Cetina River. The settlement features sweeping views of the deep canyon and the surrounding Mosor and Biokovo mountain ranges. The area is defined by untouched nature, karst formations, and small plots of vineyards and olive groves. Historically, Nova Sela was part of the Poljica Republic, an autonomous community whose heritage is still reflected in local customs and traditional stone architecture. For outdoor enthusiasts, Nova Sela is a prime base for adventures on the Cetina River, including rafting, canyoning, and zip-lining. Hiking trails lead to hidden caves and scenic viewpoints overlooking the dramatic river curves. In local taverns, visitors can taste the famous Poljički Soparnik, a traditional savory pie protected by UNESCO. The coastal town of Omiš, with its sandy beaches and pirate fortresses, is only about 15 kilometers away, making the village a first-rate retreat from the coastal crowds. Access is provided by scenic, winding roads that offer striking views of the Cetina valley.
