Weather…

Tasek Merimbun, located in the Tutong District, is the largest natural lake in Brunei and an area of international ecological importance. The lake has a distinctive S-shape and is known for its dark, peaty water, colored by tannins from the surrounding peat swamp forests. In 1984, the lake and its surrounding 7,800-hectare area were declared the Tasek Merimbun Heritage Park, the 11th ASEAN Heritage Park. The area is a biodiversity hotspot, home to rare species like the white-headed langur and the hornbill. A small island in the lake contains a research center. The park has visitors wooden walkways, an observation tower, and the opportunity to experience the unique flora and fauna of the peat swamp ecosystem.
