Weather…

The Tashkent Metallurgical Plant (TMZ) is a state-of-the-art industrial facility in the Yangiyul district, officially opened in December 2020. It is a greenfield project specializing in the production of cold-rolled steel products, as well as galvanized and pre-painted sheets. With an annual capacity of 500,000 tons, the plant fills a significant gap in the local value chain and reduces import dependence for the automotive and construction industries. The facility was equipped with the latest European technology and meets the highest ecological standards through closed water loops and efficient filter systems. The project was implemented with international participation, particularly by the Russian MetProm group, and is considered a flagship model for Uzbekistan's new industrial policy. The establishment of the plant has contributed to the creation of numerous skilled jobs and strengthened the mechanical engineering hub in the capital region.
