Dallas Zoo
The Dallas Zoo, located in Marsalis Park south of downtown Dallas, is the oldest and largest zoological park in Texas. Founded in 1888, the institution covers a vast expanse and is home to more than 2,000 animals representing over 400 species. The zoo is deeply committed to wildlife conservation and offers visitors a fascinating journey through various global ecosystems, making it a beloved destination. The park is divided into two main areas: Zoo North and the Wilds of Africa. Zoo North is the original section, featuring traditional habitats. A standout attraction is the 'Giants of the Savanna' exhibit, where elephants, giraffes, zebras, and ostriches coexist in an environment that simulates a natural African savanna. The 'Wilds of Africa' section features an exciting monorail safari ride. Visiting the Dallas Zoo is an excellent experience for families, nature lovers, and photography enthusiasts. Its expansive paths and educational programs establish it as one of the region's premier attractions.
