Chippenham is a market town rich in tradition in the county of Wiltshire, England. The town looks back on a long history dating back to Saxon times, and it developed into an important trading hub thanks to its strategically favorable location on the River Avon. The heart of Chippenham is the historic market place, around which numerous listed buildings are grouped, preserving the typical character of an English provincial town. Today, Chippenham functions both as a busy service center for the surrounding rural region and as a popular commuter town. Thanks to the excellent connection to the Great Western Main Line, Chippenham is excellently linked with London and Bristol, which makes the town attractive for young families and professionals alike. The surrounding area also features a wealth of opportunities for nature experiences and visiting historical sites such as the famous Stonehenge, which is at a relatively short distance.
