Tagabebe is located in the municipality of Governor Generoso, near the southern tip of the Davao Oriental peninsula. The place is known for its crystal-clear waters and rich marine biodiversity, situated at the transition between the Davao Gulf and the Pacific. The region is still largely untouched and provides an authentic experience of Philippine rural life. Jakka Beach Resort is a local attraction known for its relaxed atmosphere and access to excellent snorkeling spots. Another highlight is Coco Pearl Beach Resort, tucked away in a lush coconut plantation, offering pure tranquility. The beaches often consist of a mix of white sand and coral pieces. The water here is exceptionally clear and shimmers in various shades of blue. Nearby is the famous Cape San Agustin with its historical lighthouses and dramatic cliff formations. Tagabebe is also a good place to learn about traditional copra production. Access is via the coastal road from Mati City, a drive that takes time due to the winding roads and mountainous landscape but is compensated by the pristine nature.
