Visiting
The historic center of Parita is a public space you can explore on foot at any time. The welcoming church and traditional colonial houses are visible from the outside, while the church itself is open during services.

The town center is accessible 24/7. The San Juan Bautista Church usually opens for mass times (morning and evening), so a visit late morning or early evening is best.

Photography of the photogenic streets and the church is allowed at any time. Inside the church, photography without flash is permitted to preserve the religious artworks - follow local etiquette during services.
Time needed
For a leisurely walk through the center and a visit to the church, allow about 1 to 1.5 hours. If you want to also visit the small museums or craft shops, count on two hours.

Getting there
Parita is best reached by car via the Pan-American Highway; take the exit to Parita about 10 km south of Chitré. There is a small parking lot at the town entrance, from where you can explore the center on foot.
