Rawa Island
Rawa Island is a low-key spot located within the Sultan Iskandar Marine Park. Travelers come here to enjoy complete seclusion in a luxurious yet nature-oriented environment. The island is famous for its iconic orange water slide that leads directly into the sea and the peacocks that roam freely around the property. Coral reefs begin just meters from the shore, making the island a paradise for snorkelers. The nature on Rawa is pristine, with jungle-clad hills inviting short hikes to viewpoints. Gastronomically, the resorts pamper guests with fresh seafood and Malaysian classics served in buffet style. There are no public roads or vehicles on the island, guaranteeing unparalleled peace and quiet throughout your stay. Access is via boat from the coastal town of Mersing, with the journey taking about 20 to 30 minutes. The best time to visit is between March and September, when the sea is calm and the weather is sunny. During the monsoon season from November to February, most facilities are closed and boat transfers are limited.
