Bayan is an upscale and prestigious residential area in the Hawalli Governorate. It is best known for the Bayan Palace, one of the main residences of the Amir of Kuwait, often used for international summits and to accommodate state guests. The presence of the palace gives the area a high level of security and exclusivity. Bayan is divided into 13 blocks and is characterized by its quiet, tree-lined streets, large villas, and well-maintained gardens. The district also houses the Kuwait Botanical Garden, an important green space open to the public. There are several schools in the area, including the Bayan Bilingual School. Although it is a quiet residential area, it is well connected to the rest of Kuwait due to its location along the 5th Ring Road.
