Tomigusuku has developed into one of Okinawa's most attractive destinations in recent years. The city's landmark is the Orion ECO Chura SUN Beach, one of the prefecture's largest artificial beaches. With its clear, shallow waters and excellent facilities, it is particularly popular with families. The beach also features a fantastic view of planes taking off and landing at the nearby Naha Airport. The city is also a shopper's paradise, home to the Ashibinaa Outlet Mall, where international brands are offered at discount prices. Nature lovers will find an important sanctuary for migratory birds and rich mangrove vegetation in the Manko Wetland. Tomigusuku is also famous for its sweet mango fruits, which are considered the best in the region. Located directly south of Naha, the city is extremely easy to reach.
