Omura Park, situated in Omura City within Nagasaki Prefecture, is a historically significant and visually stunning public space built on the former grounds of Kushima Castle. Recognized as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots, it transforms into a breathtaking sea of pink in spring. The park is especially celebrated for the rare Omura-zakura, a unique variety of cherry blossom with an unusually high number of petals, making the floral display incredibly lush and picturesque.

Besides cherry blossoms, the park is a major destination for flower lovers due to its expansive iris gardens. Over 300,000 irises bloom vividly around late May to early June, creating a spectacular contrast against the historic stone walls and the moat of the former castle.

Visitors can also explore the remnants of Kushima Castle, including its atmospheric stone ramparts and the reconstructed castle structures, providing a peaceful retreat that perfectly blends Japanese history with natural beauty.
