Visiting
Peak Tower on Victoria Peak is an observation tower and shopping mall open to the public. The 'Sky Terrace 428' viewing platform has wide-open 360-degree views of Hong Kong.
Typical hours
Peak Tower is usually open daily from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Sky Terrace 428 opens slightly later and often closes at 9:30 pm; schedule may vary.
Photography
Photography is allowed on the entire viewing platform and inside the tower. For the best shots, come just before sunset to capture the golden light.
Time needed
Allow at least 1.5 to 2 hours, including the Peak Tram ride and time on the viewing platform. For a relaxed visit with a walk on the Peak Circle Walk, budget 3 hours.
Combine with
Combine the visit with a walk on the Peak Circle Walk or Lugard Road Walk. Hong Kong Park at the foot of the hill is also worth a visit.
Getting there
The easiest way is to take the Peak Tram from the Central terminus (Garden Road). Alternatively, take bus 15 from Central Exchange Square.
Insider tip
Buy your Peak Tram ticket online in advance to avoid queues. Visit on a clear day - fog can heavily impair the view.
