Glyfa is a peaceful and highly photogenic fishing village located in Central Greece, in the region of Phthiotis, overlooking the calm waters of the Euboean Gulf. The settlement is primarily known as an important port, providing regular and convenient ferry connections to the northern part of Evia Island. Its atmosphere remains traditional and quiet, making it a well-suited destination for those who wish to avoid mass tourism and enjoy authentic Greek hospitality. The beaches surrounding the area welcome swimmers with crystal-clear, shallow waters and shores composed of small pebbles and fine sand. Among the most important swimming spots are ΦΑΠΡΙΚΕΖΑΙΝΑ and Dermária, which offer a tranquil environment and a deeply relaxing holiday experience. These coastal stretches are particularly excellent for families with children, as the water deepens very gradually. In the center of the village, visitors will find characterful traditional Greek tavernas serving freshly caught fish, calamari, and local regional specialties. The seaside promenade invites guests for pleasant evening strolls under the stars. Access is most convenient by car, turning off from the main Athens-Thessaloniki highway, making it an easily reachable spot.
