Mitry-Mory is a dynamic French city located in the northeastern suburbs of Paris, within the Seine-et-Marne department. Formed by the union of several ancient villages, the modern city is a vital cog in the economic engine of the Île-de-France region, largely due to its proximity to the Paris-Charles de Gaulle international airport. The city's northern border is directly adjacent to the airport's infrastructure, making it a premier location for international logistics and transport companies. Historically, the area was part of the fertile Pays de France plain, famous for its large farming estates. The Saint-Martin Church, dating back to the 16th century, remains a centerpiece of the city's heritage, showcasing fine Renaissance architecture. Today, Mitry-Mory is a diverse community with a strong industrial base balanced by residential neighborhoods and public parks. The city's excellent rail links, including the RER network, provide easy access to the heart of Paris, attracting a growing population of commuters and their families.
